Leveraging Embedded Markers for Enhanced Environmental Contextualization in Robotics
Description:
This project explores the utilization of embedded markers (such as RFID/NFC tags, visual codes, or invisible codes like InfraredTags and BrightMarkers) to enable robots to adapt their behavior in real-time by detecting and interpreting changes in their environment. These markers can identify both static and dynamic objects within the robot's surroundings, significantly contributing to scene understanding. The aim is to investigate how such markers can improve a robot's ability to perceive its environment, thereby enabling more sophisticated interactions and functionalities. This research will consider the application of various types of markers, assessing their effectiveness in different scenarios and their potential to facilitate advanced robotic capabilities.
