Assistant Professor / Assoc. Dean of Faculty of Engineering
Was a researcher in wireless/mobile/satellite communications at the Faculty of
Engineering. Strongly involved in the technical aspects of a distance-education program for the School of Medicine. Prepared one-to-one radio
link models for the Southeastern Anatolian Project (GAP). Taught
introductory level courses related to electrical and computer engineering.
George Washington University,
USA, Oct. 1999-Mar.

Instructor/GTA
Within the Telecommunications
Masters Program of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering,
instructed and assisted to the following graduate level courses; i)
Stochastic
Signals and Noise ii) Fiber
Optic Communications
Orbital Space Corp/ GWU,
May 1996 Oct.1999
Researcher/GRA
Worked as a research engineer/research
assistant in a major communications project "Integration of Direct
Broadcast Satellites (DBS) into the Digital Battlefield Using Low Earth
Orbit (LEO) Satellites". Work performed as part of the Defense
Advanced Research Project Agency (DARPA) Global Mobile Information Systems
Program to the U.S. Army of Intelligence Center, AZ, USA. The project
was a joint project with Orbital Science Corp., MD, USA and Aloha Networks,
CA, USA. As a leading researcher in the project, primarily focused on
designing, developing and integrating the Adaptive Resource Allocation and
Management (ARAM) system within the use of a DBS system. Designed,
developed, tested and optimized the ARAM simulator, as well as identified
and resolved the QoS problems within the network based on a proposed QoS
metric. Processed the MPEG video packets for perceptual QoS purposes in the
overall system test-bed.
