In this photograph, you see the Hugo award won by Joe Haldeman for his story "None So Blind" in the 53rd World Science Fiction Convention in Glasgow. The Hugo is held by Gay Haldeman, who is surrounded by the entire Turkish delegation to that convention. The younger guy is N. Cenk Gökçe, who is an SF writer, Web guru, and engineer. Cenk was the Chairman of the delegation. My duties as the Vice Chairman consisted of sampling the food and drinks served in the parties all around the convention hotels.
Here, legendary SF writer Brian Aldiss is seen smiling at the hot-dog-girl making use of my camera.
This is a Coke machine, several examples of which can be found all over the world. The people standing next to it are me and Myra Çakan, who is a cyberpunk writer, film critic, and fellow party-goer.
(From Roberto Quaglia's website:) A non-bald version of myself, Jonathan Cowie, Silviu Genescu, Florin Munteanu, Roberto Quaglia, Neyir Cenk Gökçe, Pascal Ducommun in the best Chinese restaurant in Glasgow, after an extraordinary dinner, that we'll remember forever.
