Brief Biography

I received my B.Sc. (1993) and M.Sc. (1995) in Computer Engineering, Bogazici University, Turkey and my Ph.D. (2004), Radboud University Nijmegen, the Netherlands. I worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Intelligent Autonomous Systems Lab. at University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands and the Signal Processing and Communications Lab., Dept. of Engineering, University of Cambridge, UK. Since October 2008, I am an assistant professor at Bogazici University, Dept. of Computer Engineering. I am a member of the PI Lab.

• Dec 2011: New Article: “Score Guided Audio Restoration via Generalised Coupled Tensor Factorisation” is accepted to ICASSP 2012

• Dec 2011: Attended Nips 2011, Granada. Presented Generalised Coupled Tensor Factorisation and gave an invited talk at the Music workshop

• Dec 2011: New Software: PLTF toolbox for Matlab. Factorises tensors using a GPU.

• Nov 2011: New article: “Combined Perception and Control for Timing in Robotic Music Performances” is accepted for publication to EURASIP Journal on Audio, Speech, and Music Processing.

• Oct 2011: New article: “Algorithms for probabilistic latent tensor factorisation” is accepted for publication to Signal Processing.

• April 2011: Book: with David Barber and Silvia Chiappa on Bayesian Time Series Models is published by the Cambridge University Press. Amazon
