All applicants must fill in the following questionnaire and submit it to the department secretary as a hard copy on the day of the interview.

Admission Requirements

GPA higher than 3.00/4.00 and "ALES Sayısal" higher than 80 or GRE quantitative higher than 685.
TOEFL (computer-based min 213, or paper-based min 550, writing min 4.5) or IELTS min 7.0 or Boðaziçi University English Proficiency Test (BUEPT) result

TOEFL and IELTS results are valid for 2 years.
Applicants must contact with department faculty before the interviews and write a "statement of purpose" (minimum 1 A4 page). Statement of purpose must include the applicant's previous research, purpose of applying a PhD program, general research areas to work on and a list of faculty to work with. A hard copy of the statement of purpose must be submitted to all faculty before the interviews.
A minimum of 2 references must be submitted with the application. No reference letter is needed for graduates of Bogazici Univ. Computer Engineering department. Use the following form for references (Ref. form
