- The book "Unix Network Programming" is left to Seckin. Here is the
Table Of Contents
of the book You probably do not need all of the book. Chap6 of this
book might be useful when implementing your term project. Also Chap 18 which
is about RPC may be of use.
- Your Term Project will be announced soon. Let us remind you that you
are expected to use Redhat Linux as your development environment for the project..
- You are invited to go over TCP server-client program that is discussed
in class on 26.3.2003. Try to write your own simple versions of it. This is
a very good exercise for the coming project !
- For those who did not attend lectures on 26.3 and 27.3:
- obtain the extra sheet on RPC that is distributed in class (You can
ask from assistant for a copy of it)
- Make sure you understand the server-client examples. (Chap 6 of UNP
discusses them)
- Make sure you understand RPC and how RPCGEN works. (Chap 18 of UNP
discusses it)
